JT Hanna Promotions

During my time as an Art Director for UGA’s Talking Dog Agency, I worked on the JT Hanna Promotions account. JT Hanna is a family owned screen printing and embroidery company based out of Dublin, Georgia. The primary creative work that I did for them consisted of a rebrand and logo redesign. Additionally, I compiled my team’s efforts into casebook outlining our work over our year spent working with JT Hanna.

Logo Redesign

Per the client’s request, one of the key considerations when designing the new logo was that it maintain resemblance to the original design. For that reason the new design still has the same abstract JT and H shapes, but the outline around the elements has been removed to elevate and modernize the design. Additionally, a fresh, clean typeface replaces the old while still holding onto the previous typeface’s letter shape.

Color Palette

JT Hanna’s color palette was originally limited to teal, black and white. I kept the original teal, black and white, but then complimented those colors with the addition of bright and lively secondary colors. These colors bring more dimension and personality to the brand that creates and prints unique products and apparel.

Typography

For headlines and copy, I chose the typeface Facit because of it’s clear bold appearance that is easily read on screens as well as printed on fabrics. Additionally, Coldsmith’s texture resembles that of screen-printing and contrasts with the clean look of Facit.
